To win this award you need to have come up with a complementary health promotion or ongoing programme that has contributed to an improved retail result, in areas such as vitamins, supplements or sports nutrition.




2017Mark Webster winning entry explored how he integrated pharmacy and naturopathy in his community pharmacy business. Aiming to put the pharmacist in a holistic core role with patient wellness, Mark now intends to grow the practice with the aid of integrative general practitioners.

2016The aim of Claire Connor’s Turning Health into Wealth project at Life Pharmacy Botany was to implement for the continued growth of the vitamins section. Another aim was to protect the pharmacy's vitamin business from the increased number of competing stores in the area. In order to service the needs of new and existing vitamins customers, several new naturopaths were added among other measures.

2015Clair Connor, owner of Life Pharmacy Botany wanted to offer customers natural health advice to help prevent their need to visit a doctor. She adopted the “Pharmacist Recommends” programme, and employed and trained staff in managing the vitamins category. Clair opened her own health store a few doors away from her pharmacy and still increased sales in Life Pharmacy Botany. She has rolled her programme out to four pharmacies.

2014For the second year running Clair Connor of Life Pharmacy Botany won this award. She built on the success of her 2013 triumph by continuing to focus on the natural health category. Commitment to marketing programmes and well-trained staff meant the pharmacy has become a destination for vitamin sales and natural health advice.
